Usborne Books are sold worldwide and are loved by parents, teachers, librarians, and best of all, by kids! We offer excellent training and many different marketing opportunities, with no required monthly minimum sales. We are in need of people who love to read with their children and are looking to add to their family income. These books truly sell themselves. Compensation Plan:
Commissions are 25% from Home Shows and school & library sales. The great thing is that the hostess benefits (her free and discounted products) come from the company and not the consultants! So your commission is yours to keep! You get paid immediately after closing a show. If you prefer to do larger venues, book fair commission is 20% or 17%, depending on the sales. Commission on direct sales are 17% (orders $25-$84.99) and 30% (orders of $85 or more). You will earn 3% ($350 sales) or 5% ($700 sales) bonus on your personal sales each month, as well as 4% bonus on all of your recruit's sales (you do need to sell $350 to receive bonus from your recruits)! Supervisors receive an 11% override on her group's sales. Recruiting commissions go three levels. Starting out you can figure you will make aprox. $100 commission from one home show. The hostess benefits are huge, which encourages people to book a show with you!
Kit Cost:
We offer two kits: one is a kit special that changes every month (very affordable) and the other is our base kit with a ton of book titles and supplies, which is currently $125. The kits contain everything you need to begin your business. Many people will host their own first home show at their own home and earn more free books (as the hostess) and commission (as the consultant). This way you have a ton of product to display and you have also paid off the cost of your kit! Plus, you actually USE the books you display! So the books you use for your own family are also the books you display at shows and appointments! You do not have to buy additional seasonal kits...purchasing new items is your choice
Do you get a website with the company?
A personal website from the company is available for $95 at anytime, with yearly renewal just $50, or you may purchase it with the base kit at a $20 discount. You can personalize the website, yet the company completely maintains it!
How do customers order?
Customers may order online, by phone, by email, through home shows, booths at craft events, and school or corporate book fairs.
How do consultants place orders?
Consultants place orders online (quick and very easy...you can even use a computer at a public library if you don't have one at home) or by mail or fax. There is nothing to download on your computer. All of the dollar amounts are automatically figured for you and the company processes credit cards from your customers too.
How can you sell these products?
Home parties, school & library sales (You must be an educational consultant to work with schools & libraries. The cost of that kit is a one time fee of $22), web sales, fundraisers, book fairs, direct sales, booths at educational conferences or even craft fairs. If you have never been to an Usborne home show you are in for a treat! It's like having a book store right in your own home!
